Nari O Sishu Kalyan Kendra is one of the implementing partners of SAG-KP programme. In collaboration with the Department of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare (WCD & SW), NOSKK has been implementing SAG-KP Convergence Programmes at different districts of West Bengal. It is a unique initiative to merge the SAG and Kanyashree Programme together in view of a holistic development of adolescent girls from the age group of 11-18 years (both going to school and not going to school) to address their multi dimensional vulnerabilities in education, nutrition protection and health. This convergence programme is being implemented through ICDS cell.

Project Area: Panchla, Uluberia Municipality and Jagatballabpur Block of Howrah District

 

Main objectives of the programme:

To reduce different social vulnerabilities such as school drop outs, early marriage, and trafficking.

Mainstreaming out of school adolescent girls through linking them with Kanyashree Prakalpa.

Skill building by providing vocational training in convergence with Utkarsha Bangla.
