Sharmila Khatun is a specially abled child of Chakoli; she is mentally challenged by birth. Her dream was to go to school but due to her mental retiredness her parents didn’t let her to go to school. Sharmila came in our awareness programme with Waqf. We provided advocacy with the chairman of Waqf and also submit the documents for an onetime maintenance for Sharmila. The Chairman agreed to give an onetime monetary support to Sharmila for her future. Sharmila also got admission in school and got a special education from School Education Department under Sarba Siksha Mission. Her dream came true, she is able to learn and be part of the educated society.
