NOSKK has performed an awareness programme about Child Right Protection with the main focus on Early Marriage.

The programme was implemented by our guests of the Netaji Subhas Open University and supported by Girls Count.

More than 100 adolescent girls and boys, as well as their parents from our community, were part of this programme. During this training, we mainly talked about the reasons, problems, and consequences of child marriage which is still a big issue in our society nowadays. The students and parents actively discussed these topics and learned a lot about child rights violations and how to protect these in India.
Regarding the prevention, we also talked about economic empowerment and non-traditional livelihood skill training for girls and women.

NOSKK provides this kind of Non-Traditional Livelihood Skill Training for Girls and Women such as Mobile Repairing and Electrician Course.
Our President Salema Jahan and our Executive Secretary Tosmina Ahmed were also present at the programme and shared some experiences and important thoughts.

We, NOSKK want to thank the motivated trainers Kasturi Sinha Ghosh and Sheuli Dutta for this very interesting and inspiring awareness programme.
Everybody who participated in this training will definitely be more aware of these issues,  and will hopefully share their knowledge with their friends and family to create a safe environment for all our children.
